Adaptogenic Cacao Blend

I love chocolate. I will admit, I am an addict. My mum and uncle used to feed me chocolate since I was young, milky bars and kitkats progressed to bournvilles. As I became more health conscious over the years, I yearned towards dark chocolate. I loved the bitter taste, the creaminess and the mild sweetness. Now I primarily use cacao powder for baking and making a hot cacao.

Health Benefits of Cacao & Cacao products:

- Rich in plant phytonutrients such as polyphenols, theobromine, theophylline. These chemicals have anti-inflammatory properties, and help your body's immune system become stronger. Note that it can be a stimulant, so if you have a sensitive body or suffer from an autoimmune condition, you may need to do an elimination diet.

- It is rich in minerals such as Magnesium, Iron (Not as good as meat) and Potassium. Being rich in magnesium, it makes you feel good. Magnesium relaxes your muscles, nervous system and makes you feel calm. Cacao has been a life saver for my Endometriosis and Anxiety.

- It is rich in healthy saturated fats (the cacao butter) that boost your immune and cardiovascular health.

I have added adaptogenic maca powder and mushroom blends to this cacao powder, I promise you cannot even taste it! I use a mushroom blend containing Reishi, Chage, Shittake, Lion's Mane, Cordyceps and Tramella.
